Summary of Job:

The medical receptionist is the welcoming “face” of the clinic in person and on the phone.  This position requires staff to be not only technically proficient but also welcoming and friendly. A medical receptionist sets the tone for the office: he/she is a critical member of the team and ensures efficient and timely operations and services.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Welcomes and greets patients, families, and visitors in a respectful and welcoming attitude, either in-person or over the phone.
  • Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information.
  • Verifies medical insurance benefits and obtains prior authorizations via computer or phone.
  • Distributes and assists in the completion of necessary forms and documentation.

CPR Instructor

Castle Rock Hospital District is looking for an As-Needed CPR Instructor to join the team.

Summary of Job:

Works in close harmony with the Ambulance Department and Human Resources to ensure that staff and community First Aid and CPR classes are held regularly. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and teaching American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED, Basic Life Support (BLS), and any other qualifying classes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Thorough knowledge and application of American Heart Association rescue skills and ability to teach said skills.
  • An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures.

Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist

Castle Rock Medical Center is accepting applications for a full-time or part-time Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist.

Summary of Job:

This job title is certified through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). This person is required to perform various manual and automated routine only test procedures in large volume in chemistry, hematology, immunology, serology, microbiology and/or urinalysis. Evaluates and interprets the results which are used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by ordering providers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collects patient specimens.
  • Works as phlebotomist and processor.
  • Performs tests in the following departments: biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology, immunology, urinalysis, etc.
  • Communicates test results in the EMR or by fax to ordering physician and/or treating healthcare provider.
  • Follows the AIDET communication adopted by this institution.
  • Enters data into the Lab. Information System and control monitoring websites.
  • Calibrates and maintains all maintenance duties on equipment.
  • Assists in the daily and monthly quality control procedures.
  • Decontaminates area throughout the day and at the end of shift.
  • Disposes of biohazard bi products properly according to OSHA.
  • Files necessary data and paperwork and calls critical results to the provider.
  • Performs proficiency surveys and participates in continuing education per certification requirements set forth by ASCP.
  • Returns test results on an EMR or by fax to the ordering providers.
  • Performs drug screen collections for DOT and non-DOT drug screens as well as alcohol screening.
  • Performs other duties as may be necessary.

Physical Demands/Hazards:

  • Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Frequent walking, sitting, bending, and standing required for extended periods of time.

Depending on Position:

  • Medical Lab Tech: The technician must have a minimum of an associate degree and have completed a NAACLS program or completion of a 50-week military lab tech training program through ASCP. Technicians must be accredited and must maintain accreditation as a medical laboratory technician, with ASCP. Technicians must be approved in Wyoming by State Statute.
  • Medical Lab Scientist: This person must have a B.S. degree in an accredited medical technology program which includes one year of training in a school of medical technology approved by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Technologists must be registered and must maintain registry as a medical technologist with A.S.C.P. Board Registry. Technologists must meet all requirements of Wyoming State Statutes.

Family Practice Physician/Medical Director (Full-Time):

Castle Rock Medical Center Office seeks a compassionate Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Practice Physician for a thriving outpatient clinic. This position will also serve as Medical Director for the outpatient Rural Health Clinic and participates in administrative and quality initiatives.

No Call!

The Medical Center constructed a new Medical Office Building in 2020. Staff experience a brand-new clinic that offers a bright and airy atmosphere. This Physician will work alongside their fellow health care providers in team pods.
