Regional Ambulance Service
Since 1978, Castle Rock Ambulance Service has provided emergency medical services to Green River and the surrounding communities. Today, that commitment extends across the region.
One Regional Service
In 2022, Castle Rock Ambulance Service became the sole regional ambulance provider, creating a more coordinated approach to emergency medical response across the service area. The transition has improved operational efficiencies while saving Sweetwater County significant dollars and maintaining access to dependable emergency medical care.
The next step in that regional commitment is already underway. A new regional ambulance building is currently under construction, with completion planned for December 2026. The facility will support the people, equipment and operations needed to provide emergency medical services throughout the region for years to come.
Emergency Medical Care, 24/7
Castle Rock Ambulance Service provides emergency medical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our EMS team includes state-certified emergency medical professionals and paramedics who maintain required credentials and continuing education to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
Our Advanced Life Support (ALS) capabilities allow trained personnel to begin critical care upon arrival and continue that care during transport to the hospital. We also coordinate with local fire departments, law enforcement and other public safety partners to support an effective emergency response system.
In addition to 911 emergency response, Castle Rock Ambulance Service supports:
- Special operations and disaster response
- Community and special-event medical coverage
- CPR and first aid education
- Other community health and safety initiatives
CPR Classes
American Heart Association CPR classes are offered the first three Thursdays of each month beginning at 9 a.m. Classes last approximately four – six hours and are limited to six participants. After registering, participants will receive an email confirming their class date.
